Yichang to build China’s largest new energy inter-provincial leisure cruise ships

  The Yangtze River Inter-provincial Leisure Cruise Ship Project, as the first leisure cruise ship project settled in Yichang, was officially commenced on March 29, and the ships are also the largest new energy inter-provincial leisure cruise ships in China.

  It was learned that the leisure cruise ship project was jointly designed by China and Germany, planning to invest in the construction of four ships as the largest investment and most technologically advanced new energy cruise ship project in China, two built in the first phase. The project pioneers several cutting-edge technologies, including new energy hybrid power systems, automatic driving systems, and submarine airbag shock absorption and noise reduction. The first inter-provincial leisure cruise ship is funded by the Three Gorges Tourism Group under Yichang City Development Group and constructed by Yichang Xinhui Ship Repair and Building Co., Ltd. It is designed with a total length of approximately 150 meters and a width of 22.6 meters, with a planned passenger capacity of 720 people.

  The building of the cruise ship is expected to be completed in two years. Upon completion, it will mainly operate Yichang-Chongqing leisure tours and full Yangtze River tours, providing tourists with all-round and high-quality leisure tour services.
