It is learned recently from the Yichang Municipal Market Supervision and Administration Bureau that foreigners with the People’s Republic of China Permanent Residence Card can complete the entire registration process online when starting business in Yichang.

　　The service window of municipal bureau of market supervision and administration carried out a test on business registration in collaboration with the service window of public security exit-entry administration at the civil service center, the participants of which were all foreign shareholders and legal representatives who hold Permanent Residence Cards. The result showed that foreign nationals with Permanent Residence Cards completed real-name authentication and achieved all the procedures of business registration online. This is another certificate adopted for online real-name authentication by the Yichang Municipal Market Supervision and Administration Bureau this year, besides Resident Identity Card, Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents, and passports held by overseas Chinese.

　　At the same time, the National Immigration Administration Bureau started to issue a new version of the Permanent Residence Card on December 1, 2023. The Yichang Municipal Market Supervision and Administration Bureau, through system integration, has achieved online real-name authentication for both new and old versions of the Permanent Residence Card, as can provide foreign nationals with more convenience to receive administrative services and invest in Yichang.
