From May 16th to 19th, 19 Chinese media representatives from 16 countries including the United States, Canada, and Japan, along with five Hong Kong writers, visited Yichang to enjoy its lucid waters and lush mountains as well as observe its industries and products. They documented and captured many wonderful moments with their pens and cameras.
During their visit to Yichang Jinbao Musical Instrument Manufacturing Co., Ltd., the delegates learned about the history of this national musical instrument brand. Hong Yumei, chief editor of the European New Immigrants Network, was deeply impressed by the company. Although it was her first visit to Yichang, she was quite delighted by the comfortable climate, the fresh air as well as Yichang’s advancement and vitality. She believed that innovation has infused the company with vigorous vitality, enabling Yichang-made pianos to travel across the seas and amaze the world. As a media professional, she expressed her intention to leverage media influence to help accelerate the global reach of Chinese-made products.
During their visit, the overseas Chinese media representatives crossed over the Yichang Yangtze River Ecological Corridor to uncover the transformation of the Yangtze River from a “production shoreline” to an “ecological shoreline.” They also visited the Three Gorges Project, Qu Yuan’s Hometown, Qinglin Riddle Town, and the former residence of Yang Shoujing, experiencing the blend of traditional culture and modern civilization. Additionally, they visited enterprises such as China Qingjiang (Yidu) Sturgeon Valley and Yidu HEC Cordyceps Industrial Park to feel the strong momentum of industrial development in Yichang. The trip to Yichang inspired Hong Kong writer Shi Yunyan greatly, who expressed his intent to use his pen to promote and introduce Yichang, letting the world see a different side of the city.
