The Three Gorges Dam Scenic Area received its 1000000th visitor of the year on May 15.

　　The Three Gorges Project is a national demonstration base for patriotic education, and the Three Gorges Dam Scenic Area is one of the first batch of 5A scenic areas and demonstration sites of industrial tourism. The scenic area features red tourism, which utilizes immersive and interactive means in presenting the history of the Three Gorges Project. Another highlight of the scenic is the series of activities on traditional culture, such as the “Tujia Folk Song Concert” and the showcase of intangible cultural heritage.

　　Since the Spring Festival, the scenic area has actively participated in market promotion organized by industry regulatory authorities both inside and outside the province, and discussed cooperation with peers to expand the market through preferential policies, marketing activities, and promotional efforts.
