The List of New Members of the ChinaWriters Associationwas releasedon June 12,2024, including eightwriters from Yichang, namely, Wang Xuelian, Ruan Zhongmou, Yang Zifeng, Tong Xijie, Yu Yaqin, Han Yuhong, Zhou Bilin, and Yang Hongshu.

　　Over 60 writers from Yichang have joined the ChinaWriters Association to date, 47 of whom are residing and working in Yichangat present. Theyhave produced a wealth of literary works imbued with local elements and the top level. Many of their works have been recognized with prestigious awards such as the “Five-One Project” Award of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Lu Xun Literature Prize, the Junma Awardfor National EthnicMinority Literature, the People’s Literature Award, the Bing Xin Prose Award, the October Literature Award, the China’s Youth Writer Award, theHubei Qu Yuan Literary Award,and the Hubei Literature Award.
