On July 7, the reporter learned from the Yichang Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau that the municipal government recently issued a notice on raising the social assistance standards for 2024.

　　According to the notice, this year, the urban subsistence allowance standard in Yichang has been raised to 880 yuan per person per month, the rural standard to 680 yuan per person per month, an increase of the urban and rural levels of 10% and 13.3% respectively. The assistance standards for the population recognized as referring to the standards of subsistence allowances system, including the most needy individuals and families supported collectively and separately, have also been increased to 2 or more times of the subsistence allowance standards respectively.
