Recently, it was learned from the Yichang Municipal Medical Insurance Bureau that the outcomes of four rounds of interprovincial alliance centralized volume-based procurement, including alliances for scarce and emergency medications, have taken effect in the city as part of the provincial directive. The recent implementation in Yichang has translated into significant price reductions for a total of 415 pharmaceutical varieties across 68 drug types. Effective June 30, all public medical institutions, as well as voluntarily participating social medical institutions and designated pharmacies within medical care system, will adopt these new, more affordable prices.(Reporters/Wan Longyun and Huang Jingjing)
