196 home furnishing stores promote trade-ins

  On September 20, the Second Green Home Furnishing Consumption Festival of Yichang City and the Trade-In Program for Consumer Benefits of Jindongshan Business District was launched in YichangHigh-Tech Zone. Over 300 house furnishing enterprisesexhibited thousands of household items, attracting thousands of visitorstotrade in their old household wares, lured by the home furnishing trade-in policy. As of now, 196 local home furnishing stores have participated inthe trade-in program, with total sales amounting to 8.311 million yuan.

  According to the official in charge of the Yichang Municipal Bureau of Commerce, according to the policy, subsidies are available for a full range of products including bed frames, mattresses, sofas, tables, chairs, wardrobes, bookcases and kitchen cabinets. Individual consumers can enjoy corresponding subsidies when purchasing housefurnishing products.

  With the intensification of the national policy on trade-in subsidies for household appliances, the home furnishing market of Yichang has ushered in a wave of trade-in consumption enthusiasm. An increasing number of consumers are seizing the opportunity presented by the policy incentives, upgrading and replacing some of their usedhome furnishings. They not only enjoy preferential subsidies, but also experience an improvement in their quality of life brought by green and smart home furnishings.

  According to Tan Zheng, director of the Department of Circulation Industry Development and Market System Construction at the Municipal Bureau of Commerce,the home furnishing trade-in program waslaunchedon August 15. As of now, a total of 183 home furnishing sales enterprises, 196 stores, and 2 recycling enterprises in Yichang have registered to participate in the program, the total sales reaching 8.311 million yuan, ranking second in Hubei.
