The Zhicheng Port is located at the intersection of the Yangtze River and the Jiaozuo-Liuzhou Railway, serving as a traditional port for coal energy transshipment. To enhance the port's capabilities, nearly 400 million yuan has been invested in upgrading its dock infrastructure, improving handling processes for key cargo types, and implementing intelligent equipment upgrades. In May of this year, two docks for railway-river combined transportation with an investment of 350 million yuan, capable of handling 5,000-ton class containers, were put into operation. These docks have enabled the port to accommodate both waterway and railway container operations, laying a solid foundation for the demonstration project of multimodal transport in Hubei Province.(Reporter/Jin Zhi, Correspondents/Zhao Hong and Li Qiyue)
