It was learned from the news briefing on high-quality development of facility-based aquaculture in Yichang, held on November 8, that Yichang has been committed to pursuing an approach of “ecological priority and green development” in its fisheries industry in recent years. By taking advantage of its local conditions, Yichang has accelerated the development of facility-based aquaculture, effectively promoting the transformation and green growth of its fisheries sector. The total scale of facility-based aquaculture in Yichang, primarily consisting of modes such as “zero-emission enclosed pond culture,” flow channels, land-based circular tanks, and factory-based recirculating aquaculture systems, has reached 1,500,000 cubic meters--triple the size at the end of the “13th Five-Year Plan” period and ranking among the top in Hubei Province.
