The Gaobazhou-Ganziyuan single-circuit line and Gaobazhou-Ganziyuan double-circuit line serve as crucial connections between the 220 kV Ganziyuan Substation and the Gaobazhou Hydropower Station, spanning a total length of 8.57 kilometers. The original line employed high-frequency protection, which utilized a protection channel relying on overhead power transmission lines, as made signal transmission susceptible to weather conditions and electromagnetic interference, thereby affecting its reliability.
