Recently, it was learned from Yichang Municipal Seed Supervision Station that since the beginning of this year, Yichang has stepped up efforts to introduce new crop varieties, such as rapeseed, rice and corn, as well as manage the trial fields. A total of 141 varieties of seed are being demonstrated in an array of planting bases in four counties, including Yuan’an and Dangyang, with a cultivation area totaling over 36 hectares.
