2024-12-18 09:47:00
Recently, it was learned from Yichang Public Transport Group that Yichang has purchased 200 new energy buses this year, with the first batch of 50 buses already delivered and put into use, among which, the 23-seat and 27-seat buses provided by Xiamen King Long United Automotive Industry Company are fully electric, featuring low noise and zero emissions. Equipped with air suspension system, these buses offer improved riding comfort compared to traditional fuel-powered buses. The first batch of 50 buses includes 20 allocated to enhance the transportation capacity in Dianjun District, strengthening the public transportation between Dianjun and the downtown area.

Since Yichang pioneered to kick off large-scale operation of new-energy buses in Hubei Province in 2017, 383 such buses have been deployed for its public transportation. Yichang is expected to achieve full electrification of its public transit vehicles by the end of 2025. (Reporter/Bian Jianxin, Correspondent/Feng Li)
