　　It was learned from the Three Gorges Navigation Authority that, as of December 18, the Three Gorges Ship Lift has facilitated the passage of more than 30,000 vessels, transporting a total of 18.6 million metric tons of cargo and accommodating 1.56 million passengers.

　　Since its trial operation commenced on September 18, 2016, the ship lift has been operating in conjunction with the Three Gorges’ double-lane and five-step ship lock. This combination has not only boosted logistics efficiency along the Yangtze River, ensuring the seamless transportation of vital goods to Southwest China, but has also offered an extraordinary experience for tourists from around the globe.
