The Three Gorges Dam scenic area received over 3.21 million visitors in 2024, marking the second year in a row that the number has surpassed 3 million, on January 17, according to the Yichang Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau. Last year, during the Spring Festival holidays, the Three Gorges Dam scenic area saw about 135,000 visitors, a 30.37% increase compared to the best year on record for the same period, and the May Day holidays attracted 125,100 visitors, while the National Day holidays brought in 201,000, a 9.24% rise compared to the same period in the previous year.
