In 2024, several pivotal projects were launched, including the National Advanced Computing Industry Innovation Center (Yichang), the Information Superhighway Central China Hub and the AI Computing Power Center, in the Dianjun District, all located within the Dianjun Electronic Information Industrial Park. This growth positions Yichang as the largest computing power industry cluster in Hubei Province. Last August, the Three Gorges (Yichang) Computing Power Supply Chain Cooperation Platform was initiated, which now facilitates unified management and allocation of various cloud and network computing resources in the region, catering to diverse client needs. Besides, the Yichang Digital Economy Industry Development Alliance was established, comprising over 170 member organizations collaborating to propel the growth of the big data and computing power industries.
It is anticipated that the revenue of Yichang’s core digital economy industries will surpass 100 billion RMB yuan by the end of this year. Additionally, Yichang is expected to complete an integrated computing infrastructure of over 3000P in intelligent and general computing capacity. (Reporter/He Guanying)
