　　Two new corn varieties bred by the Changyang-based Hubei Kangnong Seed Co Ltd were included in the preliminary list of approved crop varieties, including newly developed strains of rice, wheat and corn released by the National Crop Variety Approval Committee on February 26. Three entries from Hubei Province, two corn hybrids and one rice variety, were selected in this round of certification.
