The 88-kilometer Yichang section will link Hekou Township in Yuan’an County to Cangwubang Village in Yiling District via Dangyang County. Designed for a speed of 100km/h with dual four-lane capacity, the expressway will save travel time between Yichang and Xiangyang from 3 hours to just 90 minutes. This vital artery will create a seamless 1.5-hour intercity network between Hubei’s two regional hubs.
