Held every four years, the Municipal Games represent Yichang’s highest-caliber, largest-scale, most competitive and most inclusive multi-sport event. Organized by the Yichang Municipal People’s Government and co-organized by the Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, Municipal Bureau of Education, Municipal Disabled Persons’ Federation, and Yiling District People’s Government, the Games will run from March to October 2025.
This edition features 34 sports disciplines divided into 685 events across three participant groups: youth, adults, and athletes with disabilities. More than 7,000 athletes from across Yichang are expected to compete for 881 gold medals to be awarded during the 7-month competition period.
