　　The first fish stock enhancement activity of 2025 at the confluence of the Huangbaihe River and the Yangtze River was conducted recently. Participants and volunteers released an array of flopping fish fry into the river, sending them back home.

　　The released fry included 4.1 million fish spanning both rare and commercial species. Endangered varieties comprised the longsnout catfish, Chinese high-fin banded shark, and bronze gudgeon, while economically significant species included silver carp, bighead carp, and bream.
