On April 21, technicians were busy replacing power distribution units (PDUs) in computing cabinets inthe server room of SanxiaDongyuemiao Data Center. An array of 550 AI-optimized devices will be in place before long.
It is learned that the first phaseof the project, whichwas started in December 2020 and was put into use in November 2021, has already attracted over 30 internet giants, including Alibaba Cloud and China Telecom’s eCloud. To date, more than 1,500 cabinets have been deployed.
With current processing capacity reaching 2,155 petaflops, Yichang plans to add 1,000 petaflops this year, pushing its total capacity beyond 3,000 petaflops.
