　　On April 18, Yichang debuted its “next-day” medical insurance payout system, disbursing about 1.13 million yuan to six secondary-level and above hospitals, including Yichang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, via the Municipal Medical Insurance Bureau. By streamlining fund allocation, the reform reduced the settlement cycle from 30 days to 24 hours, enabling hospitals to access funds faster for patient care.

　　Additionally, Yichang introduced an ​annual prepayment mechanism, where the Medical Insurance Bureau allocates ​one month’s funding in advance​ to eligible hospitals each quarter. This dual-model system of​ ​​“prepayment + daily payout” ensures steady cash flow. In 2024, a total of ​​232 million​ yuan has been disbursed under this framework, ​bolstering hospital financial resilience​ amid rising healthcare demands.
