2025-07-22 15:31:00

Since last year, Yichang Customs has established a “Citrus Export Working Group” to extend services to the front end of the citrus industry chain. Aimingat the exact needs of the enterprises, the group has implemented a range of facilitation measures, including opening a “green channel,” prioritizing inspections, scheduling appointments for checks and providing remote assistance, while ensuring efficient customs clearance for fresh produce. It has also fully rolled out “cloud-based issuance” of plant quarantine certificates for the enterprises in mountainousregionsand helped local firms expand into global markets. These efforts have yielded notable results: from January to June this year, Yichang’s fresh citrus exports reached 52,300 tons, valued at over 46.79 millionUS dollars, representing year-on-year increases of 23.3% and 50% respectively. Both key indicators hit record highs for the same period, with Yichang-grown citrus making its first entry into markets such as Indonesia and the United Arab Emirates.
