The total foreign trade import and export value of Yichang reached 32.44 billion yuan in the first seven months of the year, a year-on-year increase of 26.9%and of this total, exports totaled 25.98 billion yuan (up 32.7%), while imports stood at 6.46 billion yuan (up 8%), according to Yichang Customs on August 20.

　　Specifically, the first seven months’ total import and export value comprised three main categories: general trade accounted for 29.71 billion yuan, processing trade reached 980 million yuan, and bonded logistics contributed 1.68 billion yuan. By enterprise type, private businesses led with 25.72 billion yuan in trade, followed by state-owned enterprises at 3.51 billion yuan and foreign-invested firms at 3.21 billion yuan.

　　The top two trading partners were ASEAN and Brazil, with bilateral trade reaching 8.26 billion yuan (up 49.2%) and 3.38 billion yuan (up 95.7%), respectively. Trade with Belt and Road partner countries surged 43.7% to 21.57 billion yuan, while exchanges with RCEP members rose by 31.7% to 11.81 billion yuan.(Reporter/Yang Jing, Correspondent/Huang Qian)
