On September 8, Hubei Yiwei Nongjia International Trade Co Ltd inaugurated its overseas warehouse in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
The warehouse spans over 600m2and has a storage capacity of 750 metric tons of fruit. The first shipment, consisting of 25 metric tons of Huili pomegranates, has already arrived via cold chain logistics and is expected to sell out quickly. Huili pomegranate, a renowned specialty from Huili City, Sichuan Province, is a nationally recognized Geographical Indication product in China.
This new facility is set to dramatically reduce logistics costs, with each shipment saving approximately 50,000 yuan. Additionally, the company will benefit from tax rebate policies. It is estimated that this initiative could generate a revenue boost of 10 million yuan this year, with an anticipated increase to 40 million yuan by 2026.
The overseas warehouse provides over 2,600 e-commerce enterprises in Zhigui with a new channel to expand into international markets. This move is expected to bolster the off-season sales of the industry of “Fresh Oranges of Four Seasons” and enhance the global presence of domestic products.
