From August 31 to September 4, 2025, Yichang hosted a large delegation from its German sister city, Ludwigsburg County, to celebrate 30 years of friendship. The visit featured cultural exchanges such as themed photo exhibitions and concerts, culminating in the signing of several cooperation agreements to deepen ties and expand collaboration.

　　More than 60 historic photos showcased the achievements of cooperation between the two cities in economy, trade, humanities, education and so on, attracting crowds of visitors.

　　On September 2nd and 3rd, the Ludwigsburg County Youth Orchestra performed themed concerts in Yiling District and Yidu County.

　　The delegation visited Yiling High School. At Yiling Middle School, the two sides reviewed its friendship with the Schiller Middle School from Ludwigsburg County. During the visit, the young German musicians showed great interest in traditional Chinese arts like calligraphy and paper-cutting.

　　At Yichang Central People’s Hospital, the two sides held in-depth exchanges covering medical technology, hospital management and public health services. Based on these discussions, the hospital signed an agreement to deepen its cooperation with the RKH Regional Hospital of Ludwigsburg County.

　　The German delegation also visited several representative enterprises in Yichang, such as Angel Yeast, Chu Neng New Energy, Changshengchuan Tea Industry, Cuilin Agriculture, and Qingjiang Sturgeon Valley.

　　During the visit, Yichang and Ludwigsburg County signed a “Three-Year Action Plan” to deepen exchanges in established fields like education, healthcare and youth programs, while broadening cooperation in new areas such as green energy, technology and tourism.
