On October 12, Muhammad Iftitah Sulaeman, Indonesia’s Minister of Population Mobility, led a delegation to Yichang and they were met by Liu Jinsong, Vice Mayor of Yichang Municipal People’s Government.

　　During the talks, Liu noted that Yichang and Indonesia enjoy close economic ties, with two-way trade reaching 1.98 billion yuan in 2024, a year-on-year increase of 9.4%. He expressed hope for deepened cooperation in trade, urban development and rural revitalization. Minister Sulaeman praised Yichang’s development achievements and expressed his country’s willingness to strengthen collaboration, particularly in the sector of energy, water resource management, green industry and sustainable urban planning, and learn from Yichang’s experience.
