The workshop of Yichang Yanghong Agricultural Trade Co Ltd was bustling with sorting and packaging of citrus for shipment to Russia on October 17.

　　Roman, a Russian merchant, said that the Yiling citrus is of excellent quality, and his planned import volume this year will exceed last year’s 4,000 tons and the fruits will be sold to eight major Russian cities.

　　The export business of many citrus enterprises in Yiling District has witnessed significant growth this year. Yanghong Agricultural Trade Co Ltd expects its export volume to increase by 30%, with the proportion of self-operated exports reaching 70%. Over 80 tons of mandarins under the “Yilinghong” brand are sent to Russia daily, and the export volume in October is expected to increase by 20% year on year. Xiaoxihong Fruit Co Ltd has a daily export volume of 100 to 200 tons, and the order volume has increased by 20% year on year.

　　Currently, the whole district is home tomore than ten brands such as Xiaoxihong Fruit Co Ltd and Yanghong Agricultural Trade Co Ltd. Its products are exported to more than a dozen countries and regions including Russia, Canada and Southeast Asia, demonstrating the global influence of Yiling District as the hometown of citrus in China.
