Recently, the morel mushroom cultivation bases in Mingfeng and Yangping Towns of Yuan’an County have been bustling with early planting activities. Through facility upgrades and innovative farming models, the local morel mushroom industry of Yuan’an is adopting a dual strategy of “off-season marketing plusexport-oriented growth.”
In Wangjia Village, Mingfeng Town, the first batch of morel mushrooms was planted on October 31 in newly constructed water-fertilizer-integrated greenhouses, with an expected market debut as early as January next year. Meanwhile, Yangping Town has introduced an innovative morel-rice rotation model across 22 hectares of farmland. The project is estimated to yield about 6 metric tons per hectare, generating an output value of approximately 375,000 yuan per hectare. These high-quality morels will be directly supplied to markets in Europe, America and Southeast Asia.(Sanxia Daily: Reporter/Zeng Xuebin, Correspondents/Zhao JingandLi Shuangjun)
