On December4, in Longquan Village, Jiuxian Township, Yuan’an County, the first batch of 140 metric tons of eels from Yichang Yourui Ecological Agriculture Co Ltd was shipped out. After being processed, these eels will be distributed to markets in Russia, South Korea, the United States and Southeast Asia.

　　The success of this initial batch is expected to generate substantial profits for the company while creating direct employment for over 20 local villagers. Currently, a second-phase project with an investment of 150 million yuan is inthe planning stage. The initiative aims to expand aquaculture operations through establishing seedling breeding and feed production, as well as enhancing processing and educational facilities. Ultimately, it will establish a comprehensive eel industry chain in Yuan’an, further driving industrial upgrading and rural revitalization.
