On December 9, Hubei Sinophorus Electronic Materials Co Ltd successfully acquired the proprietary technology and ownership of experimental equipment for producing photoinitiators for photoresist, a major scientific and technological achievement from Hubei Three Gorges Laboratory. Once commercialized, this technology will break the long-standing foreign monopoly over a key bottleneck area in semiconductors, marking a significant step toward domestic self-sufficiency in critical materials.

　　After three years of dedicated research and development, the laboratoryhas successfully developed a photoinitiator for G/I-line photoresist. Samples have been verified by several domestic enterprises and shown performance on par with international counterparts.

　　The technology has now entered the pre-industrialization phase. Upon production launch, it will establish Hubei’s first dedicated production line for photoresist photoinitiators, strengthening the independent development of China’s photoresist industry and enhancing the security of the semiconductor supply chain.
