On December 16, the annual passenger throughput of Yichang Sanxia International Airport reached a new high, exceeding 3.3 million for the first time. During2025, the airporthas operated61 domestic and international passenger routes, connecting 51 destinations worldwide. From Yichang, a two-hour flight provides access to major economic zones including the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region, the Yangtze River Delta, the Pearl River Delta and the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle. The number of inbound and outbound international passenger trips is expected to reach 120,000, with nearly 70,000 foreign passengerarrivals, both setting records sincethe airport’s expanded opening-up.
