On January 16, the four themed shopping zones, “Yunji,” “Chaoyue,” “Tonghui” and “Taozhu,” opened for business on the B1 floor of the Guomao (International Trade) Building, attracting 112,000 visits in a single day, a year-on-year increase of over 30%. This reflects a transformation of Yichang’s underground commercial spaces from traditional shopping centers into modern retail environments characterized by new models, new formats and new scenarios.

　　Departing from the conventional layout of “supermarket plus snack bars”, the new district incorporates elements from historic streets such as Yunji Road and brings together nearly 100 brands, including light dining, trendy entertainment and flagship stores, establishing itself as a popular destination for young consumers. Currently, multiple underground commercial complexes, including the CBD shopping center and Aqua Plaza, collectively contribute to a diverse and vibrant business network in Yichang, offering Yichang people more shopping and leisure options.
