In 2025, the total value of Yichang’s foreign trade reached 54.45 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.3%. Exports totaled 44.36 billion yuan, an increase of 10.8%, and imports amounted to 10.09 billion yuan, an increase of 3.1%.

　　Among these, the import and export values through general trade, processing trade and bonded logistics were 48.96 billion yuan (an increase of 13.4%), 1.87 billion yuan and 3.51 billion yuan (an increase of 87.8%) respectively. Private enterprises, state-owned enterprises and foreign-invested enterprises recorded import and export values of 42.87 billion yuan (an increase of 15.2%), 5.77 billion yuan and 5.8 billion yuan (an increase of 30%). The top three trading partners were ASEAN, Brazil and the EU, with import and export values of 13.46 billion yuan, 5.99 billion yuan and 5.29 billion yuan respectively, increasing by 13.7%, 70.4% and 2.4%.
