At the beginning of this year, Zhongjing Diamond Co Ltd in Yiling District was operating at full capacity, with nearly 300 cubic presses running nonstop. Since January, the company has achieved sales of nearly 8 million yuan, following last year’s output of over 600,000 carats of lab-grown diamonds.

　　As the Spring Festival consumption peak approaches, the company’s newly launched colored diamonds and “life diamonds”—synthesized from carbon extracted from human hair—have gained strong market recognition and are selling well in international markets, including Vietnam and South Korea.
