According to the recently released List of Provincial Key Projects for 2026, Yichang has 108 projects included, with a total investment of 575.89 billion yuan, placing it among the top cities in Hubei Province both in terms of the number of projects and the volume of investment. Among these, there are 65 major industrial projects focusing on sectors such as green chemicals and new energy batteries, 38 major infrastructure projects, including the Three Gorges New Water Transport Channel, and 5 key projects in the areas of people’s livelihoods and environmental protection.
