According to Yichang Sanxia International Airport, during the nine-day 2026 Spring Festival holiday, the airport is scheduled to operate 856 flights, handling an estimated 105,000 passenger trips. The airport will connect to 42 destinations, covering major domestic cities such as Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, as well as international routes to Hong Kong, Bangkok and Singapore.
During the Spring Festival travel rush, key routes between Yichang and major cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen will see high-frequency operations, with flights to Guangzhou and Shenzhen averaging five to six per day. Several routes are offering discounted fares for the holiday period. On Chinese New Year’s Eve, one-way fares from Yichang to Shenzhen start as low as 220 yuan, while fares to Guangzhou begin at 290 yuan (excluding taxes and fees), providing more affordable travel options for passengers.(Sanxia Daily: Correspondents/Wang Tingting and Zhang Na)
