On February 24, the eighth day of the first month of the traditional Chinese lunar calendar, a group of Indonesian trainees were learning operational skills from Chinese instructors in the central control room of the Angel Biotechnology Industrial Park in Xiaoting District, Yichang.
Last November, construction of the Angel Yeast Indonesia plant commenced. The first batch of 29 Indonesian employees arrived at the company’s headquarters in Yichang for a six-month training program. During the Spring Festival, the trainees immersed themselves in the festive atmosphere in Yichang, joining local employees in the industrial park’s Spring Festival “market” and festive activities. They also tried their hand at writing Chinese characters and making dumplings.
The Angel Yeast Indonesia plant is scheduled to begin operations in 2027. Its products will mainly be sold in Indonesia and other Southeast Asian countries. (Sanxia Daily: Reporters/Zhao Jingyi and Tan Yangchenlei, Correspondent/Yang Ligen)
