During the Spring Festival holiday in the Year of the Horse, Yichang’s cultural and tourism market got off to a strong start. The “Two Dams and One Gorge” cruise tours were sold out for five consecutive days, welcoming 82,500 visitors—a year-on-year increase of 23.5%. The Three Gorges Tribe Scenic Area set new records in both visitor numbers and revenue, each rising by over 50%. Qingjiang River Gallery Scenic Resort attracted more than 10,000 visitors in a single day, marking a new high for the Spring Festival period, while the "Romance of the Three Gorges" performance staged up to six shows in one day. Across the city, Yichang hosted 203 cultural, tourism and sports events, and Yichang Children’s Park alone received over 420,000 visitors.

　　Behind this market boom is the accelerated development of key tourism projects. The Dananmen historical and cultural block is scheduled to begin partial trial operations by the end of October, Longyuan Park in Xiba by May 2027 and Enjoy Snow World by the end of 2026. New immersive experiences, such as the Chufeng Cruise Ship and Bailihuang Ski Resort, have recently been unveiled.

　　In 2025, Yichang welcomed 141 million tourists, generating 142.7 billion yuan in tourism revenue, up 20.4% and 22.5% year-on-year, respectively. Yichang also received 404,000 inbound tourists, with international tourism revenue reaching 1.13 billion yuan, marking increases of 29% and 32% over the previous year. Yichang is now accelerating its progress toward the goal of becoming a world-famous cultural tourism destination.
