On March 13, Yichang marked World Consumer Rights Day 2026 with a major commemorative event at Wuyue Plaza, highlighting its ongoing commitment to consumer protection. Over the past year, Yichang’s market regulation authorities handled more than 110,000 consumer complaints, recovering over 16.5 million yuan in financial losses for residents. As a result of the efforts of governmental administration and guidance, consumer confidence has been significantly boosted, with 1,210 local stores adopting a “no-questions-asked” return policy, helping to resolve more than 358,000 disputes smoothly and efficiently.
