On March 14, a new air route connecting Yichang and Vladivostok was launched. This marks the first direct flight from Yichang to Russia since the opening of Yichang Sanxia International Airport, making the airport the first regional airport in Hubei Province to offer a direct passenger air service to Russia.

　　The route is operated by Yakutia Airlines of Russia from March 14 to May 30, with flights operating once every Saturday. The one-way flight time is approximately 3 hours and 50 minutes.

　　The flights are scheduled as follows (all times Beijing Time): Flight R39837 departs Vladivostok at 13:00, arrives in Yichang at 16:50; Flight R39838 departs Yichang at 18:20, arrives in Vladivostok at 22:05 on March 14, 21 and 28. Flight R39837 departs Vladivostok at 14:00, arrives in Yichang at 17:50; Flight R39838 departs Yichang at 19:20, arrives in Vladivostok at 23:05 on April 4, 11, 18, 25 and May 2, 9, 16, 23, 30.
