On April 3, large trucks loaded with refined tea leaves slowly departed from the refined tea export processing park in Letianxi Town, Yiling District, for further shipment.
The town’s tea plantations cover 11,224 mu (approximately 750 hectares). In recent years, by establishing the refined tea export processing park, it has transformed the previously scattered operation model of tea enterprises into a pattern of resource sharing and coordinated development, allowing customers to make one-stop purchases. The park now hosts six enterprises, with a stable average monthly processing volume of around 400 metric tons. Technological innovation has also been advancing constantly; for example, automatic packing machines have been employed to reduce the workforce required for the tea packing process from six workers to two, effectively improving processing efficiency.
Currently, the park is making efforts to promote Yichang’s refined tea to overseas markets, with products being exported to multiple countries and regions. (Sanxia Daily: Reporters/Tan Qiangming and Zhang Lianghong, Correspondents/Liu Sichen and Lei Xiaoxi)
