During the May Day holiday, Yichang’s local cuisine won over countless visitors. Data shows that an average of 360,000 servings of spicy red oil buns were sold daily acrossthecity and approximately 144,000 servings of Yichang fatty fish per day. According to statistics from the Municipal Bureau of Commerce, 11 key monitored commercial complexes achieved total sales revenue of 138.86 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.6%. Among them, Yichang Guomao (International Trade) Building recorded sales of 44.05 million yuan, up 6.1% year-on-year. Yiling Wanda Plaza, which effectively attracted spending from young tourist demographics, generated sales of 10.35 million yuan, representing a year-on-year increase of 12.9%.
