Recently, Hubei Kangnong Seed Co Ltdexported 400 metric tons of quality corn seeds to Angola, with a total value exceeding 10 million yuan, of which the first batch of 68 metric tons has been shipped. The order volume increased by 530% year-on-year. The company’s self-bred “Kangnong No. 2” corn variety achieved high yields despite a rare drought in Angola, with 9,500 mu (over 630 hectares) of contiguous fields averaging 10,875kg/hectare, demonstrating outstanding stress resistance. The company is now steadily advancing the internationalization of its seed business, with several corn varieties adapted to Africa and Southeast Asia currently in the trial and demonstration stage.
