Yichang Health Science Museum opens
2026-05-22 14:44:00

On May 21, the Yichang Health Science Museum was officially opened to the public free of charge at the Municipal Public Health Center. Centered on a “four-halls-and-one-gallery” layout, the museum integrates interactive experiences, historical exhibitions, specimen displays and other sections, using smart devices to offer immersive health education. Visitors can take part in games to identify poisonous mushrooms, learn Baduanjin (Eight-Section Brocade, a traditional Chinese qigong exercise), or use a 3D body composition mirror to assess their body metrics. The museum also features an exhibition of physical objects on China’s health and epidemic prevention history, a vector biology specimen museum housing over 20,000 specimens, and a public health law corridor, creating a new front for public health science popularization.
