2026-06-03 10:59:00

Yichang has opened 8 expressways and 10 Yangtze River bridges to traffic, and is advancing the construction of 21 expressways and 7 Yangtze River bridges in phases, according to the Yichang Municipal Bureau of Transportation. Yichang is accelerating efforts to build a “3-ring & 16-radial” expressway network. By 2030, Yichang’s total expressway mileage in operation will exceed 1,200 kilometers, and 15 Yangtze River bridges will be open to traffic. By then, the “golden triangle” of Wuhan-Xiangyang-Yichang will be connected by expressways within three hours, while the Yichang-Jingzhou-Jingmen-Enshi urban cluster will be connected within one hour, further consolidating Yichang’s role as a national comprehensive transportation hub. cross Yichang, every county or district will have two expressways, with urban areas within 15 minutes of an expressway and 90% of townships within 30 minutes.
