The themed event “Celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival in Yichang” will be held from June 18 to 21 along the riverside in downtown Yichang. It is jointly hosted by Yichang Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, Yichang Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Yichang Municipal Bureau of Forestry and Gardening Administration, Xiling District People’s Government and the Wujiagang DistrictPeople’s Government, Hubei Three Gorges Cultural Tourism Group and Yichang City Development Investment Group Co Ltd.

　　A Dragon Boat Festival experience corridor will stretch along the riverside from Xiba to Tianran Pagoda, linking more than 10 sites such as Zhenjiang Pavilion, Dananmen, Shuangting Square, Jiefang Road Pedestrian Street, Wanda Plaza, Yichang No. 9 Wharf and the Yangtze Finless Porpoise Square. The celebration will feature light shows, fish-lantern parades, Wang Zhaojun-themed light show, Chu-style performances, intangible cultural heritage displays, China-chic markets, zongzi tasting, lacquer-fan experiences, open-air films, Hanfu-style stunt shows, traditional opera and poetry-themed activities, offering residents and tourists an immersive festive experience along the Yangtze River.
