The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs recently publishedthe first batch of nationally recognized well-known, distinctive, high-quality and new agricultural products for 2026. A total of 11 local specialties from Hubei made the list, including “Yinjiaping Honey”, which was proposed by the Yiling District Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. It is the only agricultural product from Yichang included in this batch. To date, 22 agricultural products from Yichang have been included in the national list, covering fruit, vegetables, tea, grain, livestock products and traditional Chinese medicinal materials, the highest number in Hubei.

　　The core production area of “Yinjiaping Honey” is located in the cool and humid northwestern part of Yiling District, covering nine townships including Zhangcunping Town and Wuduhe Town. With an average altitude of 800 to 1,000 meters, a forest coverage rate of over 72% and abundant nectar sources, the area is highly suitable for honey production.
