On June 7, the Yichang–Xingshan high-speed railway section was energized, marking the commencement of preparations for the upcoming integrated testing and commissioning of the line. Theentirelinehasatotallengthof108.38kilometers and is designed for a maximum speed of 350km/h. Upon completion, the Shanghai-Chongqing-Chengdu High-Speed Railway (also known as the Yangtze River High-speed Railway) and the Zhengzhou-Chongqing High-Speed Railway will be interconnected. The travel time from Xingshan to Yichang will be reduced to 20 minutes, while the journey from Yichang to Chongqing will be shortened to under three hours, significantly enhancing regional transportation efficiency.
