On June 12, the Yichang Big Data and Computing Power Industry Talent Alliance was officially inaugurated, aiming to establish a collaborative innovation mechanism that brings together industry talent alliances, core leading enterprises, and academician-expert teams, supporting Yichang’s ambition to become the “computing power hub” of central China.
The alliance is guided by the Organization Department of the CPC Yichang Municipal Committee and the Yichang Municipal Data Bureau, spearheaded by Yichang Big Data Group Co Ltd, and co-founded by key enterprises, universities, and research institutions. At the inauguration ceremony, China Three Gorges University signed a cooperation agreement with the alliance, covering targeted talent recruitment, research commercialization, joint talent cultivation, and the pairing of academicianexpert teams.
According to official sources, Yichang allocates 60 million yuan in special annual funding to support the growth of its digital industry. To date, Yichang has made 2,027 public datasets available and is home to 175 provincial-level data element enterprises, the second-highest number in Hubei Province.
